Muhammad Ali Haider Bajwa, MD

Dr. Bajwa is a board-certified internal medicine physician and the medical director of Acton & Canton Urgent Care. He sees patients at both clinics and sets the clinical standards our whole team works to, from how we treat a child’s ear infection to how we read an X-ray.
After earning his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went on to work as a hospitalist and cardiac nocturnist at South Shore Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital and Morton Hospital, with a strong focus on heart disease and diabetes, and has taught medical students ECG interpretation and cardiovascular medicine.
His clinical research in cardiology, endocrinology and imaging includes trials of salsalate in type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and work on continuous glucose monitoring published in peer-reviewed journals. He also volunteered in medical relief after the 2005 earthquake in northern Pakistan. Dr. Bajwa is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
