Urgent care, primary care, or the emergency room?

Go hereWhat it is for
Your primary care officeRoutine checkups, chronic condition management, medication reviews, and anything that can safely wait for an appointment.
Urgent care (us)Illness and injury that needs attention today but is not life-threatening: fevers, infections, cuts, sprains, possible fractures, testing, and physicals.
The emergency departmentChest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, major trauma, severe abdominal pain, or any condition that threatens life or limb.

What to bring

  • Photo identification
  • Your insurance card
  • A list of your medications and allergies
  • Your pharmacy’s name and location
  • For a child, a parent or guardian, or written consent

Quieter times to come

Mid-morning and mid-afternoon on weekdays are usually the shortest waits. Weekday evenings after work and the first hours of the weekend are the busiest.

When to call 911 instead

Urgent care is not the right place for a life-threatening problem. Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department for any of these:

  • Chest pain, pressure, or tightness
  • Trouble breathing or shortness of breath at rest
  • Sudden weakness, numbness, facial droop, or trouble speaking
  • Heavy bleeding that does not slow with firm pressure
  • A head injury with confusion, repeated vomiting, or loss of consciousness
  • A seizure, or fainting without a clear cause
  • Severe abdominal pain, or a stiff neck with fever
  • Thoughts of harming yourself
Do I need an appointment?

No. Both clinics are walk-in during all open hours. You can also reserve a time with the Reserve my spot button if you would rather hold a spot, and we see reserved patients and walk-ins in the same flow.

What are your hours?

Both clinics are open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. Acton is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Canton is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Do you treat children?

Yes. We care for infants, children, and adults at both locations.

What should I bring?

A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of the medications you take, and your pharmacy’s name and location. If the visit is for a child, please bring a parent or guardian or written consent.

How long will I wait?

Most visits are finished well inside an hour. Wait times are longest on weekday evenings and weekend mornings, and shortest in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

Will you send a report to my regular doctor?

Yes, with your permission we send a visit summary to your primary care provider, and your record is available to you in the patient portal.
